2026.05
M&NTIS Platform v26.4 is a release focused on improving lab realism, strengthening access control and permissions, and enhancing the overall user experience across the platform.
Lab Realism
This release introduces a major step forward in lab realism, making training environments closer to real-world enterprise conditions and giving them more variability:
- Automated Active Directory enrollment of lab machines.
- Randomized initial user logins on each client workstation.
- Deployment of randomized files across lab endpoints, to simulate realistic enterprise activity.
Trial Accounts
- Users can now create trial accounts directly from the app portal at https://app.mantis-platform.io. This simplifies onboarding and gives faster access to M&NTIS environments for discovering the platform's capabilities.
Platform Upgrades
Complete redesign of the permissions system, for better scalability, clarity and long-term maintainability:
- a completely reworked permissions model,
- improved control over user access and role management,
- removal of legacy and obsolete permission paths.
Warning
As part of this cleanup, the ability to launch unit attacks has been removed. The unit attack catalog remains accessible, since unit attacks are still used inside attack scenarios.
User Experience
- Redesigned notification system, for improved clarity and usability.
- Simplified access to public evaluations, directly from a lab's evaluation tab.
Fixes and Improvements
- Fixed integration issues with the HarfangLab EDR.
- Improved provisioning of large files through Ansible.
- Removed an unnecessary operating system reboot triggered by the Winlogbeat deployment.
